This is the first painting I did in 2025 in my new studio. Spinning was inspired by a photograph by my friend Jocelyn Ohnmeiss. This is a barn on their property. I like how the sun was creating warm highlights on the snow in contrast with these really blue purple shadows in thesnow. It’s interesting how snow has so many colors depending on the sky light available and what is around it.
