I find old, experienced structures, homes, and equipment to be very interesting. The stories they hold. The things they have seen over the decades. How they have been repurposed by nature. As a painter, I’m trying to capture the stories I believe each subject holds. In “Final Destination”, I chose to paint this barn, holding an old Ford truck, at sunset in the Fall to accentuate the concept of these subjects being in their final days. I was lucky enough to capture this scene prior to the truck being towed off and the building being torn down. They were situated on farmland outside of China Grove, NC.

This is the second painting inspired by this barn (see “Time Slipping”).

This painting is 20″ x 16″ and is oil on canvas. This painting does not come framed but framing can be arranged. Contact me for options.
